- He speaks in a fairly calm tone, though despite being even in volume, his emotions tend to show through clearly when they surge. He talks in a very animated way, gesturing with his hands, and even his eyes show his feelings once they're strong enough.

- Rames is a demigod, with his full name (Rameses, "born of Ra") being literal: though his mother was human, his father was the Sun God Ra. He shortens the name to "Rames" most times. His mother, Anku, was a dancer who lived in Kul Elna (having fled there to avoid the charges for stealing) and often danced for the residents. Ra was so enraptured by her dancing that he disgused himself to dally with her, the end result of which ended in Rames. However, it was after he was born that Ra never returned, though none knew why. Rames never knew of his heritage until his powers manifested in his early teens.
- Unfortunately, one of these powers was eternal life. Rames has existed since far before even Atem's father's father was born, and still exists even in GX's time.
- He also has a golden jewel on his forehead, part of his "heritage" from Ra, that has been there since he was born.
- Rames is at full power because of how demigods work. When sired, they're given a tiny fraction of the god's power -- so small it wouldn't be noticed, so small it would eventually be replaced, like plucking a hair off your head. But even a fraction, it's still a power of a God in the human world, and gives them abilites beyond what most people would dream of. The largest benefit, however, is that the power is disconnected from the God itself. Even if the God weakens in some way, the demigod will remain at their power, the shard the same as it was. It unfortunately works in reverse; a child sired when a God is weak would remain weak. If either reconnect with their divine parent in a significant way, their powers can be stolen back or empowered, depending on the God. This is why most are wary of their divine parent until they've passed to the afterlife properly.
- He grew up in Kul Elna like any other thief, but once he learned of his powers, he left to explore what he could do with them. Rather than claim any sort of demigod right, he instead turned to more intense thievery, eventually expanding far outside of Egypt since nothing could stop him from leaving. As such, his thefts and the terror left behind faded into legend -- and by the time of Pharaoh Akhenamkhanen, were unknown except by the most dedicated of storytellers.
- During this time, he would return regularly to Kul Elna, bringing his spoils to feed and support the thieves and spend time with the new ones that appeared while he was gone. At first, he would return at least once every year, but as time began to lose meaning for him -- for he never aged beyond his 19th year -- these visits became fewer and further in between. Not so long that he would be unrecognizable, but long enough that any one thief would only meet him twice in their lifetime (perhaps three or four times, if they lived to an old age).
- One of those who didn't know him well was Bakura, later known as the Thief King. Rames met him only once, during a year-long stay at Kul Elna when Bakura had just been born. Bakura was a fussy baby, and Rames -- knowing child care from helping others for so many years -- often helped to soothe him and the other children, singing them off to sleep. Bakura especially seemed to adore it, and never failed to relax when held by him.
